Lawton Community Foundation Matching Tuition Waiver
Cameron University Policy Statement for Lawton Community Foundation Matching Tuition Waiver Scholarship
Students who are recipients of the Lawton Community Foundation are eligible for the Lawton Community Foundation Matching Tuition Waiver Scholarship. Students who are eligible for this scholarship will receive the award during their second year at Cameron University. Students must begin attending Cameron University the fall semester immediately following their high school graduation and maintain continuous full-time enrollment during the fall and spring semesters for the first two years to receive the award.
The Lawton Community Foundation Matching Tuition Waiver Scholarship is a $2000 per academic year tuition waiver, not to exceed a total of 2 semesters and can be used in only in fall and spring semesters. Awarding and continuation of the tuition waiver are contingent upon the student achieving the academic and performance standards for the Lawton Community Foundation Club Tuition Waiver Scholarship.
Students who qualified to receive the Lawton Community Foundation Matching Tuition Waiver Scholarship must maintain the following academic performance standard to remain eligible to receive the scholarship:
• Recipient must have earned a minimum of 30 credit hours before the beginning of the second academic year to receive the award
• Enroll in courses for the first fall semester by July 15
• Maintain a 2.0 retention grade point average.
• The award will be issued as $1000 in the fall and $1000 in the spring of the student’s second year at Cameron
• Students must be the receipt of the Lawton Community Foundation.
The Cameron University Lawton Community Foundation Club Tuition Waiver Scholarship will be awarded to student nominated by the Lawton Community Foundation. This award will not preclude the student from receiving another tuition waiver scholarship during their first year at Cameron University. In the event the student receives a four year tuition waiver from Cameron University, the student will receive only the waiver that is of higher value during his/her second year.
