Bernice Pittman Moss Endowed Scholarship in Teaching and Education

Established in July 2007 to benefit an education major who is a junior or higher in classification.

• It is intended for full-time students
• Must be declared an education major and must be admitted to the teacher education program
• Sophomore, Junior or Senior Classification
• Retention GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Achieve a 3.0 GPA or better during the first semester of the award to receive it a second semester
• Financial need will be a significant selection criterion

Scholarship can be awarded until degree completion if meeting the following criteria:
• Meet the 3.0 GPA criterion for retention
• Remain an education major
• Continue making satisfactory progress toward teacher certification
• No student will receive more than four semesters of scholarship support
• Must apply each year
