Richard Allgood Endowed Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship shall be to assist deserving full-time students enrolled at Cameron University and pursuing a course of studies leading to acceptance at an accredited medical school. Selection for and retention of this scholarship shall be based on these criteria:

• Recipient must be of junior standing or higher and have a retention GPA of 3.5 or better to receive the scholarship for the first semester of award.
• Once appointed, a recipient may retain the scholarship until degree completion if they remain a full-time student, meet the 3.5 GPA criterion for retention, remain committed to a goal of acceptance at an accredited medical school, and maintain satisfactory progress toward degree completion; however, no students will receive more than six semesters of scholarship support.
• Quality of academic performance and potential for acceptance to medical school shall be more important than financial need.
