Ken and Darlene Kleypas Memorial Scholarship in Pre-Nursing

The purpose of this scholarship shall be to assist deserving students enrolled at Cameron University. Selection for and retention of this scholarship shall be based on these criteria:

• To initially receive the scholarship the recipient must be a student and have a collegiate retention GPA of 2.75 or better to receive the scholarship for the first semester of award.
• Once appointed, a recipient may retain the scholarship until degree completion if they remain a student, maintain a 2.75 GPA on a 4.0 point scale, and maintain satisfactory progress toward degree completion; however no student will receive more than eight semesters of scholarship support.
• Students must be enrolled in pre-nursing and demonstrate an intent to become a nurse.
• Priority will be given to those students demonstrating a financial need. In the case of multiple applicants, the scholarship will be awarded to the candidate who is presently raising children.
